Verify a placement
Every placement we make carries a reference. Enter it with the date of birth on the record and you will see exactly what was agreed: the role, the employer, the dates and the pay. If a reference does not check out here, it did not come from us.

Both fields are needed. The date of birth is what stops someone who has only seen the reference from reading a worker’s personal details.

Where do I find the placement reference?
It is printed on the offer letter and on the deployment paperwork you were given before travelling, in the form ZCP followed by two groups of characters. If your employer issued a staff or payroll number, that works here too. If you have neither, contact us with your full name and date of birth and we will find it.
Why is the email and phone number partly hidden?
Because a verification does not depend on them. What proves a placement is genuine is the role, the employer, the dates and the agreed pay, and those are shown in full. Contact details are the most useful thing for someone impersonating you to have, so we show only enough of them to recognise, not enough to use.
The details shown do not match what I was told. What now?
Tell us immediately through the contact page, quoting the reference. What is recorded here is what was agreed at placement. A mismatch is either an error we need to correct or a sign that someone has given you terms we never issued, and both matter.
Does a completed contract disappear from here?
No. A completed contract stays verifiable, because that is exactly when a worker needs to prove experience to the next employer. The status simply changes to show the contract ran to its end date.
Who can see that I ran a lookup?
We record which reference was checked, when, and the network address it came from, so we can spot anyone working through references at scale. We do not record the date of birth that was entered. See our privacy policy.
